1. Amarillio by morning

"Memphis" by Chuck Berry, Johnny Rivers, and others.
"Nashville Cats" by the Lovin' Spoonful. Del McCoury's band also covered this one in concert.

Gotta love those Tennessee cities, because we don't get mentioned in songs like "Heart of Rock & Roll," "Sweet Little Sixteen," and "Living in America," although some Canadian cities did!

What's the smallest town mentioned in a song's title or lyrics? My guess would be "Luckenbach, Texas," by Waylon & Willie.

By the way, "Last Train to Clarksville," mentioned earlier in this thread, is about Clarksville, Arizona, not Clarksville, Tennessee. I used to live in Clarksville, TN, so I would know!

How about "Nutbush City Limits" by Ike and Tina Turner ("A Little Ol' Town in Tennessee")?

That's cool! And it's in west Tennessee, too! But there is a mistake in the Bob Seger version. He mentions "U.S. 19" passing through the town. U.S. highway 19 passes through Tennessee, but it's in east Tennessee, a long way from Nutbush. The Ike/Tina version just says "highway #19" or something like that. (It's actually state highway 19.)

I remember "Saginaw, Michigan." It dates back to sometime in the '60s, and I remember hearing it either shortly before, or shortly after, a trip to Michigan. I was not in Michigan when I heard it, and as I mentioned before, I live in Tennessee. What I remember about the song is that it mentions "Saginaw, Michigan" in almost every line! By the way, did I say the song was about Saginaw, Michigan? (Seems like we are getting a lot of country songs mentioned here!)
