Are you people living in a fantasy world? There is no way that the General Manager and the PD are going to admit after less than six months that they made a poor choice AGAIN for morning drive personality. Sometimes, I think that they put names in a hat and just draw one. I don't think that they care if they put out a superior product, but are much more driven by holding down payroll costs. They just don't want to be in the situation they had with Moby, when he was getting paid high six figures and pretty much did what he wanted. Sure, he got an CMA award for best morning show, but so what? KICKS doesn't have any competition in this market for country fans....why should they pay the big money to get a really great morning guy? Mediocre is good enough, and they save hundreds of thousands that way.
The facts are smacking them in the face, but now we're talking about saving face.
Jill and Kristin have voices almost identical in timbre and tone, so most of the time, I can't tell which of them is talking...that is, until I hear WHAT they're saying. Actually, Kristin makes Jill better....when Jill is interacting with Kristin and Jim, she's not tittering and fawning on Craig.
I've written about Vann a lot in this forum, and will do so again. Vann is one of the greatest that have ever been at that station. The old saying about genius being rewarded has never been as untrue as with Jim Vann. KICKS management is NEVER going to reward Jim like he deserves.
