How totally KTAR, they finally get a host with enthusiasm and is fun and appeals to those who are still alive.

And he leaves.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Ded Simons and Jay are waiting in the wings to bore the hell out of you!

How does 7 to 9 compare with morning drive? This was an easy decision. A talk station would never pay what a hip hop morning show would pay.

If the rumors about Phil Hendrie on KTAR are right, I'm stunned. That's no Ded Simons or Jay.

7-9 on KTAR may not pay all that well, but talk show hosts generally make boatloads more than morning show hosts--again, depending upon market, daypart, etc.

Bonneville is a class operation. Besides, he's talented and appeals to a demo I'd imagine they'd like to appeal to more. especially now that they're on FM. I heard they were going to keep him on-staff for fill-ins, which is a good move. If his morning gig doesn't work out, I recommend that he try out life as a talk host. As someone else said, he's an agreeable sounding person on the air and sounds quite intelligent. He appeals across quite a broad demographic I'm guessing.

Good people tend to land on their feet.

Here's to hoping that the owners let the station serve the community. Too many companies have tried to serve 18-34 with a Rhythm or CHR format but don't really do anything for their community. Kid & Ruben know the way into the community. It's hard to be "real" when the people you work for don't "get it". Ratings aside - these guys can do good things. The company needs to make a point to let them.

As Kid eluded in his "announcement" - stresses of the pressure of work (- or lack therof!) can sometimes be hard on a friendship. Good to hear they were able to work thru it.

By the way.....you think "Reynaldo" might be a future character on the station? I can already see the lyrics change for "Lean Like a Cholo!"......"Big snaps up - side 2 side - lean like a ....." anyway...glad things are working out.

I am no hip hop fan but do like Kid and Ruben so will defintley be tuning in. Be nice if they get some podcasts going. Been going to work everyday listening to my Adam Carolla podcasts and can't wait for Big O and Dukes podcasts to start on monday. I hope Kid and Ruben kick Kiss FM's AZZ for screwing them over like they did. The heat just got turned up!!!!
