Killing the Messenger?

Al Jazeera is another well-known news operation. Journalists are mostly cut from the same cloth...they dig for the truth and most try to give us the facts. AP reporters and crews likely trust the Al Jazeera folks pretty well. Plenty of other tenants in that huge building to be suspicious of, I'll bet.
Al Jazeera totally has an agenda as it is owned by the Qatari government and has ties to the Emirates and the rest of the more moderate Islamic states.

While not as biased as Prensa Latina or Pravda, it is typical of news services run by non-democratic system governments.

I won't trust any media outlet 100%, on it's own, but I would think that there's little that gets by two staffs of journalists working in close contact.
I prefer to get my news from several sources, though, and see what stands out as true , and which seems contrived.

NEW YORK (AP) — The Associated Press said Monday that it is launching a review of its social media policies after questions were raised about last week’s firing of one of its journalists who had expressed pro-Palestinian views.

That announcement came hours after more than 100 AP journalists signed a letter expressing concern about how former news associate Emily Wilder was treated. The journalists want more clarity in what can be said on forums like Twitter and Facebook and faith the company would protect them from pressure campaigns.

In a memo to staff members on Monday, the AP’s news leaders asked for volunteers to suggest changes to social media guidelines, with the idea of a committee bringing forth recommendations by September.

This firing takes place as the AP tries to position themselves after the attack in Israel and Palestine. Also being falsely accused by politicians for being connected to Hamas.
