According to our intrepid AJC Radio Reporter, Rodney Ho, Kim Peterson has decided to retire rather than accept a solid job offer, according to Kimmer's publicist. He plans to spend his golden years playing golf. I hear he is having trouble with his game; everything he hits seems to be pulling right.

So long Kimmy, your hate filled, right wing crap will not be missed at all.
 
I am sure he would have spewed left-wing hate-filled crap if had more listeners but apparently lefties/commies don't know how to operate a radio or just prefer Q100 so they do not have to work to form an intelligible thought.
 
If he had any radio talent he would have found a gig somewhere by now. Now if some of the other no talents on the air here would retire or get retired.

Some liberals actually enjoyed Kimmer. For instance, this one typing. More entertaining than Hannity by a long shot.

I liked Kim Peterson as a news guy at WSB much more than as a talk show host.
But I must agree with weasel-dude concerning Hannitty.
Hannitty is just plain vacuous! He's a pretty-boy and he has milked it well(as would I if I had the chance.) But for anyone to be influenced politically, socially, or morally by this product of American suburban "soccer mom" culture is sad; it speaks volumes about the disintegration of our country's educational system.

680 the Fan should have signed him and moved Buck and Kinkade to mornings. Curious how does the Rude show rate vs. mayhem? I respect Rude and the job he has done there but that Laurentino annoys me. Her basically Jimmy Barron in the 90's. I can't really think of many other good irritants on the radio. Maybe Jeff Dauler?
 
When the Kimmer show was at its peak & firing on all cylinders, it was a great local Atlanta radio show. But like all good things they must come to an end....well, at least when Cheap Channel gets involved. I can only imagine what it must have been like working in the building of death for the last year or so while they tried every possible tactic to get you to quit while making your life miserable. I was glad to see Kimmer stick it out to the bitter end. Hope he milked every cent he could from CC.
 
Say what you will about Mr. Peterson's right-wing leanings, drill seargent calls or goofy "you're killing me" line, he has done something that not many people in radio can achieve...WE'RE TALKING ABOUT HIM!

Kimmer has left his mark on the Atlanta radio scene and whether we agree with him or not, he's done his job. In the end, that's all any of us are ever hired to do...a job. His was to get paid to talk foolishly on the radio and yell at left-wing callers. Honestly, how many people do you know would love to have a job like that?

I left radio after 26 wonderful years for greener pastures and I must say I'm working harder now than I ever did but, I am happier and truly have no desire to return to the medium. I wish the Kimmer a wonderful retirement and I hope he, too, doesn't miss the medium...too much. :D
 
Why would 680 have moved B&K out of afternoon drive when the Kimmer could not beat them in afternoon drive?
Some of the programming suggestions on here make the Clear Channel decisions look good!
 
You're right Sales Weasel, WSB should dump Hannity (who has climbed his way to over a 10 share in 5 years there), for the Kimmer...who has declined over the past 5 years to below a 2 share.

Why does every coffee-schlepping, cheap-suit wearing Willie Loman in every sales department in every radio station in the country think he's the next Great Radio Program Director?
 
Without those sales weasels you goof there isnt any programming. Idiots like you forgot that fact constantly the reason we are in the shape we are in today. SALES DRIVES PROGRAMMING BECAUSE NOWADAYS PROGRAMMING SUCKS.

He is INTELLIGENT... he's figured out how to make lots of money by telling an audience what they want to hear. That has nothing to do with the foundation of what he's spewing.
