I've been here in Spokane 14 years...never have been with a station this long in my life. It used to be like "WKRP In Cincinatti"---you know the lyrics: Got kind of tired packing and unpacking,
Town to town and up and down the dial. BUT---since Seattle is my hometown and I know the city like the back of my hand and know things ONLY someone from Seattle knows----J.P. Patches, Spud Fish-n-Chips along Alki Beach, Seward park, Brakeman Bill, Dick's Cheeseburgers, fries and those incredible shakes, I saw my first concert at the Paramount Theater--it was the "Guess Who." I grew up in West Seattle til I was 10, then it was onto Bellevue & Redmond. I've lived in Everett, Kirkland, and Burien. And I still get a charge going up to the top of the Space Needle, hanging out at the Seattle Center, Bellevue Square and more. I really sincerely hope the opportunity for me to return to the Emerald City indeed happens.....a radio station there would have a very happy camper on staff---no doubt about it. I prefer LIVE radio, but I can voicetrakk a show and make it so compelling and sounding live...you would be amazed. IF and I repeat IF---voicetrakking is done RIGHT. It IS an art-form.....
Thanks for everyone's kind words....it really means alot....
Your Spokane and Hopefully Soon---"Seattle Radio Pal....."
