Supposedly was going to switch to Catholic religious programming this month. Has any change taken place or are they still simulcasting with KLGO 99.3?

Still simulcasting with a message every half hour that the KIXL programs will be only on 99.3FM some time in January. But no change yet.

Thanks for the info. Probably waiting for the 970 sale to grind through.

Will be interesting to see if the Catholic Radio for 970 rumor is true.

There is no "rumor". The KIXL will be Catholic formatted soon. It was purchased by the Starboard Media Foundation who operates the Relevant Radio network.

Any word if there will be a call letter change? 970 has been KIXL since 1974.

I haven't heard any rumors of a change and considering thet Relevant doesn't usually brand by call letters I would say a change is unlikely.

The change has been completed. AM 970 has now "converted" to Roman Catholic programming.

I assume it is the Relevant Radio Network? No mention of the change on their site: http://www.relevantradio.com/docs/index.asp

The old www.kixl.com URL still forwards to the KLGO site.

Can someone check the TOH ID and confirm 970 still has the KIXL calls?
