Rather continue to be off topic in the Ben Ferguson thread, I thought I'd bring the KIYS discussion to its own place.
DeadElvis is getting word that the KIYS move to the Memphis metro is nearing completion. The station will be relicensed to Crawfordsville, AR and transmit from one of the KWAM sticks.
After reading through some old threads, some questions have popped up. Namely, CC's ownership limit. Talk a few years ago was that CC already owned the maximum number of stations in Memphis. Is that still the case?
If they are somehow able to keep it, it may have some potential as either the FM outlet for WREC or a country competitor to Kix. But if not… K-Love, perhaps?
Now that it's been a few years since KIYS was last discussed, what do you folks think could be done with this facility, in this economic climate?
