KJLH is so unfocused right now.

Let it go bro he aint coming back hell I dont think Cliff even lives in Los Angeles anymore. I heard him do a promo for KDAY Fresh Fest back in 2008 but Im sure he moved on like all the others. As far as The Hometeam goes it aint coming back either. No disrepect to Stevie Wonder but I didnt care for him on Thursdays. Him going on and on and the jocks laughing at his jokes annoying. Im sure ill be laughing too if he was my boss but things never last forever. Espically with radio in this town.

Life Goes On. But find someone else to do the morning show.

It's cheaper to run a syndicated program vs. hiring a morning team espically in this stage right now. Other choice would be Tom Joyner but his show flopped. Its more focused but too serious sometimes. You have to remeber this station caters to adults its not in your demo

I usually listen when Tammi Mac & Don Amichie are on. That's usually when they play a variety of Hip Hop & R&B and old school. And I listen to Kevin Nash.

Yeah they normally keep the afternoon drive upbeat but its sometimes over the top. At lease Michael Baidsen talked about real issues instead of celeberity crap. Im so over hearing about Chris Brown and Lindsey and Charile. Lon at least kept it r&b leaning.

I wasn't feeling Micheal Baidsen at all. Not that he talked about sex on his show but he talks too damn much and so does Steve Harvey.

Michael Baidsen show caters to adults so its not in your demo Grown Folks Radio. Same with Steve Harvey it caters to adults. Why mainstream urban stations add Steve show dont know why but if they do its a Clear Channel station. KPRS in Kansas City dropped Steve Harvey last year.

@WDB 2003 You're right The only morning show that appeals to me is Big Boy's Neighborhood. Party atmosphere all the way. I just downloaded the Power 106 app and starting Tommorow morning on the school bus instead of listening to Steve Harvey I'll listen to Big Boy's Neighborhood. Happy 25th Anniversery Power 106 LA's Party Station thanks for 25 years of great music.

Thats good there's also Rickey Smiley Show that caters to the Hip Hop format. When Citdael dropped Big Boy from their syndication network Ricky Smiley took over alot of his stations. Youll have to download a Radio One Station app. Hes on KBFB in Dallas and WHHL in St. Louis. Radio One stations use Airkast. You might like it

Yeah it was announced last year you can easily go to itunes.com and pick what station you wanna hear. The only one I added was WMMJ in DC and KBFB in Dallas

Here they go again... how about this set...'The Soul Controller' by Ghostface Killer' to Sam Cooke' 'A Change is Gonna Come' to Seal 'A Change is Gonna Come' to 'Black and Yellow'? What is the format? In pm drive no less! I'm confused. Sounds like sabotage. I find myself listening just to see what they will play next! BTW, What are their ratings these days?
Urban Contemporary

Some Urban AC play that song so its nothing new. BoBo who produces the morning show with Adai and Big Pee Wee came over from KDAY. I actually meet a few staffers at the Taste of Soul last year. Very nice people. You have to remeber the dj's dont control the music its the PD. The jocks are just doing their job like everyone else. Im pretty sure the staff is aware with the concern of the music but its nothing new. This station has never been a ratings winner and hardly anyone notices the frequency. Listeners pass it to get to 102.7FM
Nautica De La Cruz was an airstaffer on Power 106 from February 1998 and went to The Beat in September 2000. So you know why she's so hood.

Well your still listening so you must like it ;)
There are a few KJLH songs I like and they are Keyshia Cole Take Me Away, Melanie Fiona It Kills Me, Jazmine Sullivan 10 seconds Forever More by Anthony David & Algebra and Ginuwine What Could've been. The Hip Hop tracks don't fit the station's format. Oops I forgot the format is now a so-called Urban Contemporary. I wasn't listening today either. I was listening Power 106 on my way to school and coming home.

I heard Gernade on Tuesday night leaving work so I was referring to you listening on Tuesday not Wednesday. They like to throw in surprises big deal they can do whatever they want.
