KJR-FM & Bob Rivers

Its too bad that Moura won't be on the team. Jodi is good and crisp but too damn loud and mic hogging in the morings. Moura's soft voice but clear communication skills worked well with da' boys. She knew when to jump in and jump out..She's not a relentless yakker without an off switch.

good analysis wino, but give the new girl a few months or so to fit in. if radio-info.com postings/rantings were around when maura was replaced by kacey in the mid 0's, i'da probably blasted her as a young giggle girl who had no place on this show. ya well, i was wrong then, and we all grew to love her,as she fit in with the bunch perfectly. bob seems to know how to pick em.
 
RR, "Wow"? My post was not a hate deal. An opinion..I believe opinions are still part of the boards? Yes..? Here's what I think: The Rivers show was soo well done at OK 102 and a 1/2 that each person in the studio with him every morning, the regulars, were literally coming across as their own host. All of those people that showed up each morning were not "hang arounds" or background racket makers who did nothing but compete or high-five the guy in the Captains seat. We've all heard those kind of clusterfuck type of morning shows and they make for a difficult listen. Rivers demonstrates himself as a competent traffic cop who keeps it all moving and glued together.. I considered Moura one of his "hosts". A voice with a professional and even handed approach to her job and social skills that mixed well with the boys.. I've listened to Jodi and think, as most people, she'll do fine, BUT its a voice to get used to, If it works for Bob and the rest, then Ok by me...
 
Well I have to kindly disagree with the Jodi slant because your opinion is based on shows where she was expected to carry her portion of the show and talk it up so it is a pretty harsh critic who pans somebody for doing what they are being paid for.... Near the end of Bobs run on KZOK Jodi filled in for a week while 8 months pregnant and managed to also squeeze in her daily show with Marty Riemer... Jodi is a smart, funny, opinionated team player but then again we all have those pesky opinions now don't we... She did a great job in her fill in duties and she did not interject herself where it was not needed or asked for and obviously the guys felt it worked because they are giving her a nice paycheck to do it all again on a daily basis...
