KKLF Flips Back to The Ticket?

War Of Attrition said:
I wonder if this is permanent or just a temporary stop-gap due to the damage from the storm. According to The Ticket's website they are also now available on 99.5 HD2.

Just move The Ticket to 93.3 already. This is as good a time as any to just blow up The Bone and be done with it.

IF ONLY . . . .

Today the Ticket guys talked for over an hour about their experiences at the Bruce Springsteen show lst night at the AAC. They talked honestly about Bruce's music, and the die-hard Bruce fans, interestng thangs that happened before, during, and after the show.

It was fun and entertaining, and it did not insult one's intelligence.

A far cry fron what you find on ANY "Rock" station in Dallas ! ! !

What a deal this is.... the best discussion of a musical event in Dallas.... is on a "Sports" station..... and NOT on a MUSIC station..... (But the Dallas Rock radio stations -always- find time to dispense lots of Bathroom 'Humor', now don;t they ! :p ).

But such is the cultural abyss of Dallas Rock Radio ! ! ! ! ----

Still TOTALLY Clueless about what matters.....

BTY, 1310 is not broadcasting in HD for now.....

Why not put the Ticket on KLIF's 570 frequency and put KLIF on 1310, the weaker of the two signals? My God, the Ticket is on, what, 3 different freqencies to help with its anemic signal coverage. KLIF's a non player now, so why should it have the third best AM signal in the market? Doesn't make any sense, does it?
Because the Ticket actually has a Great Daytime Coverage with 9KW

Not so much - you get east of Crandall and the signal starts to fade badly. By the time I am home (8 miles east of Kaufman) it's nil. Heck I get 770 a lot better than the little ticket.

Wow. I knew it faded fairly quickly on the way to Houston but that surprises me, even as close in as Crandall. 9,000 watts on 1310 should get you a decent ways in this part of the country, too.
I can't tell from RadioLocator ... anyone know who 1310 protects? I'm guessing 1300 in Austin to the south/southwest, but that doesn't explain poor coverage down I-20 to the east.

1540 AM in University Park (Transmitter is in Grand Prairie) has 32,000 watts in the daytime but its signal has so many nulls in it that its hard to hear in Burleson just 30 miles from the transmitter site. It all has to do with the antenna pattern and the dial position and ground conductivity. I have read that the ground conductivity in the southeastern part of the country is terrible (such as Atlanta, Ga) and terrific in North Dakota.
