Found this quite by accident while trying to find ANYTHING to fill 10 FM presets with, with today's "radio." :
Apparently a low-power, non-com FM based in east Texas (Overland,) but with a repeater in Garland. But what I heard today sounds like Garland is being programmed separately. The parent station, KXVI (not the old 1600 in Plano, but 89.9 FM) maintains a website at www.kxvi.net, but the content is nearly all about KKVI-"Garland." It looks to be primarily religious talk, and, as they put it, "non-offensive" music (tho I would question "Human Nature" by Michael Jackson, which was the song playing when I found the station today...as I don't think religious folks would take kindly to Jackson's definition of 'human nature.' Silly me, I stayed with it thinking someone had actually programmed an EIGHTIES station around here or something.) The prerecorded announcements in between songs were WAY overmodulated and could barely be understood. Anybody familiar with this operation?
