If it were still the 70's, you would be able to hear WLS Chicago at night where you are.
When I was in Vacaville for the summer 1977, WLS was listenable most nights.
You guys definitely have me beat! I've never heard New York or the rest of he eastern seaboard on the west coast. Closest I've come is WBZ one night in Flagstaff, AZ. I have, however, heard WWL and the Chicago blowtorches on numerous occasions, including underneath the current ocupants of their channels. (WMAQ/WSCR being the least frequent) I'm especially impressed with crainbebo snagging WYLL. They're tough duty at night even in Iowa. The 1660 from Charlotte is a great catch as well.
