KMYS TV 35 changing to CW?

It could...but don't expect it to. TWC here is aggressively eliminating channels from analog cable and shipping them off to the dark (digital) side.

that's true but they should also put it on Time warner cable's digital channel line up in the austin area like they put KBVO only on their digital line up

On another forum, someone posted that it's the policy of their group owner, Sinclair, not to use multiple subchannels. Probably because they're cheap.

IIRC-- MULTIPLE subchannels may degrade your main signal. You have only so much bandwidth to work with, especially if you want to do 1080. But some digital broadcasters are only doing 480 on the MAIN channel.

So, let's review... Channel 35's affiliation history:

Fox (1987-95)
UPN (1995-98)
WB (1998-2006)
CW (2006-2010)
My Network (2010-)

Could this perhaps be the only television station in the country to have been affiliated with every single one of the above networks at any given time?

I think you might be right... but I will not say definitely.

I kinda like this. This is what I was hoping for! Plus, S.A. viewers can get to see The CW shows in HD, which KCWX cannot get.

As for the MyNetworkTV block, I thought that it would end up staying at 35.1 but being pushed late to like 9-11pm or 10pm-Midnight.

according to the My35 website, the channel is going to air How I Met your mother reruns at the 10PM slot, so idk where MyNet programming going to end up at.

Also, Access Hollywood is moving to Channel 35 from NBC 4. It will show at 6pm. And a Nancy Grace show at 5pm weekdays? How crazy is that.

So what will WOAI fill in at 6:30?

In Memphis, WLMT 30 was the original Fox affiliate in that market. It moved to WPTY 24 in 1990 and WLMT became an independent. In 1995, it became UPN when that network came on. It added the WB in 2003. It became the CW affiliate when UPN and WB merged. It became a secondary MyNetworkTV affiliate after the MNT affiliate there (ion's WPXX) dropped it -- though I think it only carried the WWE show. So, WLMT has been affiliated with them all as well.

One station...but multiple signals: In the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre market, Fox WOLF-TV 38 had two full-power satellites WWLF 58 and WILF 53 to help cover the market. WWLF was moved from the southern end of the market closer to the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and it became Fox WOLF-TV and the channel 38 facility became WSWB, carrying both the WB (primary) and UPN (secondary). Since then WSWB has become the CW and WILF has become MyNetworkTV WQMY.

According to zap2it listings, I has the mynetworktv lineup officially might become a mynetworktv station for the San Antonio area

Huh? Who?

zap2it.com shows KCWX 2 running MyNetworkTV in prime time (two episodes of Law & Order: CI from 7-9) on August 31 with KMYS 35 running the CW. I'm guessing that was what the other poster is referencing.

Never mind answering that, I just learned from Jeanne Jakle that WOAI will launch a 6:30 newscast on Sept. 6th.

Typical WOAI. They're launching a 6:30 newscast in 2 weeks and no one knows about it. Meanwhile KENS announced it was launching its new 4 p.m. show months ago, around the first of the year. There's a reason 4 is always, always, always dead last.

Well this is pretty stupid. Because MNTV already has KBVO broadcasting in Llano. Now KCWX, in Fredericksburg, will also have MNTV. So therefore both MNTV stations for both markets will be in the Hill Country. They basically overlap each other. What a pretty dumb move. If this is really the case, KCWX should stop identifying themselves at "KCWX - Fredericksburg, San Antonio, Austin"
