My W11 app won't even log in. I literally hit the sign in with Google, forgot about it and it was still spinning the next morning. It's a bit of a PITA to use on desktop machines

KEMP is simulcasting KMZQ these days and not KVGQ
Definitely not. I found a working stream and it's playing music.
According to Radio Locator it's been KEMP since 8/19/2014. It was KMZQ in 2005
I was in Payson just two weeks ago and KEMP 99.3 is definitely a Conservative Talk format, and simulcasting KMZQ 670. I was in Payson last November and heard the same thing on 99.3. The information that's available, including the Wikipedia article, is wrong. The interference I get over K257CD in parts of the Phoenix Metro is spoken word.Definitely not. what stream? The ones i find, are clearly for KVGQ... i somehow doubt a stand alone FM thats simulcasted another station had its own stream.
Plus, a stream proves nothing.. it could be automation just chugging along somewhere
Whatever that link is, it's still not accurate. The underlying URL has KVGQ_KMZQ_FM. I wouldn't trust Streema to be more accurate than a first-hand account of hearing the OTA signal.

One more question. Why even have a standalone FM in a small town that is just simulcasting an FM from a big city, with no separate spot load?
I think Radio Locator is best when you want to lookup all the stations that are heard in certain locations. I like how you can adjust the distance mileage to include fringe and/or distant stations I also find it very accurate most times as far as technical and format info. Since, I don't know how to generate a coverage map on Rabbit Ears or Longley Rice, I have to rely on RL's coverage maps. Here comes another "stop using Radio Locator" response, everybody.
More complete call letter history, from @Michi's FCCdata.org:

What can a station do to improve a signal without reporting to the FCC? KMZQ is definitely better of late. Noisy as all get out at night but at least intelligable. I checked FCCdata and no changes were recorded.
Yeah, a station can just install a 50kw transmitter, crank it to 50kw.. but were only licensed for 25kw. I mean, they dont HAVE to tell the FCC they did that but when they get found out, theyll get in trouble.

What surprises me is that the OP is posting under his ham radio calls, so I would presume he knows the FCC wouldn't stand for that.
So why ask?
LOL really?

Could be operating at lower power due to an unreproted technical issue../ you dont have to notify the FCC for 10 days..... or just atmospherics.
