KNLY 91.1 FM

This transmitter doesn’t broadcast to many people. Google Maps pulled up the following when displaying the transmitter site. The cow doesn’t seem to care. 9D6F150B-10EB-4188-9E15-E66807FDC623.jpeg

Some time after noon KNLY finally isn’t dead air. I guess they couldn’t wait until e-skip was finished

Some nice E-skip this morning...was hearing a bunch of stations from Central Florida. WFLZ in Tampa-St. Pete was completely overriding KQBU, with full HD lock on all three subchannels! And WPCV in the Orlando market totally buried KFNC.

I didn’t get WFLZ but after Florida it moved up north and I got some SC, GA, and NC. Then a new cloud formed and I was getting some stations up north in mostly NE, MN, and SD. Now it’s some fade ups in WI.

Did they fix their equipment or are they still playing strange sounds?

It sounds as good as it has before. Not amazing but not as bad as before they were broadcasting dead air for around 2 months.

They probably had to fix that weird scratchy sound in the YouTube vid earlier in this thread.

My very uneducated guess is that it just died and it took them awhile to realize nothing was broadcasting. It just kept sounding worse and worse until it was dead air.

It's currently playing English Christian music.

I wonder if the 48K mono streaming is used for the FM transmitter.

KNLY is back to sounding like the YouTube clip but it’s very loud

An update for the radio station for cows. It's not dead air but the audio is terrible again

I noticed KNLY was off last night. Currently I’m only getting KVUJ with RDS.

The stream link posted earlier in this thread has audio and it's currently playing piano music.

Friday night it was back with dead air and has been off since Saturday. I just checked now and I only get a weak KVUJ
