KNX onto … 97.1??

Ha! That's funny. Most of the broadcast supply houses take a couple months to process a custom order. I remember one station had an interim mic flag with a sticker on it to cover them until the new ones arrived. It looked a little cheesy though.
And... some of those customized items are not made in the USA any more. Those new mike flags are in a container on a ship anchored off of Long Beach!

Just a listener, but it's nice to have the KNX-FM calls back on the dial. Back when, KNX AM and FM were both fine operations, and when you flipped from one to the other, the same high quality came across in either format. So, wouldn't it be great to have an updated mellow sound associated with the KNX calls just a click away—on KNX-FM HD2?

Also, rather than threaten the tribute sites, Audacy might "ask" them to mention the return of news on KNX-FM? Everybody wins.
Perhaps they'll have an agreement, like "K-LOVE" (EMF) and KLVE do...

Excellent observation. But just WHY are all of those ships still stranded at sea?

Inquiring minds...
Logistics. Not enough trucks and drivers to haul the containers. Not enough docks to unload the container ships. Union demanding much higher pay to do another shift each day. Lack of trained dockworkers. Increased demand for things make in SE Asia and India and Japan.

Quoted for truth.

It turns out, through only 11 months of this year, the Port of LA has processed more containers (total of incoming and outgoing) than any year in its history. They moved 9.46 million containers in 2018. Through November 2021, they had moved 9.89 million containers year to date, which is on pace for a 12% increase on the record year. BTW the situation in the port of Long Beach has now settled down:

The parking lot of ships doesn't exist anymore — but that's because the ports have slowed the rate at which ships come in. Forty-five ships are slowly drifting toward the port of Los Angeles about 150 miles offshore. "It's called port optimization. We don't want [ships] sitting outside waiting for weeks on end," said Seroka.

Here it is. It's a 3.1 share for KNX. Back in the Top 10. Also a huge jump for KRTH, recovering from the holidays. Very good book for Audacy:
KNX is 23rd in 25-54, down from 19th in the month prior to adding the FM simulcast.

KFI is 21st, its best 25-54 showing since June of last year.

KRTH is back to its November level... which is the average of its entire 2021 level. This is one of the flattest, even performers I have seen.

KYSR is now a full share ahead of KROQ. Hard to imagine KROQ's situation getting worse...but it is.
KYSR is at its lowest 25-54 share in a non-holiday book in a year. It is 14th in 25-54, down 8 positions from last January. KROQ is down 30% from January 2021, and is 23rd in 25-54 in the current book.

Overall, the sum of the two alternative stations is off by nearly 40% in AQH shares in 25-54.
And a nice bump up for KFI.
But going back to the same month last year, KFI in 25-54 is off by a full third compared with early 2021.

Except for KROQ.
Is that 3.1 KNX AM/FM combined? ..as I don't see a separate KNX AM
