Did ABC affiliate channel 15 screw up by airing three college football
games today? At least that's what was in their listings from several
sources.
A spot check of listings for WABC-TV, two Mountain zone affils (DEN/SLC),
plus KGUN-TV Tucson, reveals they all scheduled only two games at
12:00pm and 3:30pm ET, plus normal prime time (Harry Potter movie).
KNXV-TV meanwhile, added a "why is this on here--it's not Pac 10"
4:00pm PT game and blew off ABC prime. This was a "bye week" for
the ABC/ESPN Saturday night national game(s) at 8:00 ET/5:00 PT.
On the left coast, both El-Lay and Frisco listings had the 3:30 ET/12:30PT
and the 4:00 PT games, but no 12:00pm ET/9:00am PT.
I think there's an NC-two-A (TV jock jargon ;D) rule that limits ABC affils
to two "day" games on Saturdays which includes the 4:00 PT regional slot
but not the national prime time slot (8 ET/5 PT).
Keith, what's your take on this?
