KOMO's 'Northwest Afternoon' ceases end of August

At least, up in Seattle, you haven't been inundated with the "next-generation" local shows. In Texas, Belo is serving up "Great Day (fill in blank with city name)" -- basically a local show totally comprised on paid advertising. Here in Arizona, we have "Arizona Midday", "Sonoran Living", "Your Life A to Z", "Shopping A to Z", and "Better Arizona". Basically, it's an hour of paid advertising for "your lifestyle" -- with a variety of different segments focusing on finance, health, restaurants, exercise, etc. Honesty, they're as boring as h*ll but I guess they rake in the dough.
