KOOL-FM losing it?

Hey, a meat ball instead of a disco ball...but then again...the fly situation...I dunno about all that heavy breathing in the meatcase either...and it would definitely have to be Barry sans the bling... as salmonella tends to fester under big rings and knick knacks.... but I'd give your dog a bone anytime, Pattiwacki.

We'd pass on the lady's heart too, good doctor, but the liver....marinated in Jack Daniels....sounds like a BBQ delight.

Beave, the term "blood thirsty" aint just for parched carnivores... keep it in mind as you pursue your radio career...

Sam,

The Beave is still a vampire of the night, and what you say is true even more so today. ;D

Lauren and Oldiesfan, Dee Dee is on You Tube playing Mountain's High and Thy Shalt Not Steel. Unfortunately, they're re-records but she is a very cool lady to talk to!

Thanks, Patti! I checked out the YouTube video of "Mountain's High/Thou Shall Not Steal". VERY cool!!

:-X The images... the images... make them stop! So, Sam... how's it goin' with those pesky health inspectors?

It's no fake swimming pool oldies fan...it's the real deal. We are live from a pool EVERY Saturday night, doing the music and everything from the pool party. More fun coming this Saturday!

I think it really sounds like the real deal, too. I look forward to Saturday nights. And I hear you throw one heck of a party, Greg!! Really makes me wish I had a pool. ;D

Actually.....I think KOOL sounds better then ever! Was listening all day yesterday on-line and wish I could get the signal where I live.

They have adjusted the music in the right direction for the younger Oldies/Classic Hits Demos in PHX. (The Demos advertisers want) Ideally, they'd keep some good 60's stuff in the mix, but maybe their research shows otherwise?

My bet is that in upcoming books, you'll see their ratings inch up again!

We are already seeing it.

The morning show, in April, got its best number in over a year in 25-54, a 5.2 for the month. In fact, they dipped with the change and went 1.4, 2.1, 2.8 and now a 5.2 in the sales demos in mornings. A nice 25-54 jump if they sustain it.

In 6 to Mid, they have a beautiful trend going on with a 1.7 to a 2.3 to a 3.1 to a 3.7 overall. They appear to have been willing to take a temporary hit to readjust the format for a more salable demo and they seem to have achieved it.

Muchas gracias!! (That means 'thank you' in Spanish, for those of you in Gila Bend, Board Moderators and Scrabble players. ;D )

Seriously, though, I also think KOOL made the right choice hiring Steve Goddard. He is PERFECT for the oldies format and I think he appeals to both young and old listeners.

The first time I heard Steve Goddard on the radio, I couldn't help but think of how much his on-air presence/delivery/relatability reminded me of Terry Steele of 1050 CHUM fame. Steve has a polished delivery, he's funny and gosh darn it, people like him!

So in regards with 6 to Mid, does that mean Temporary guy, during that entire time period, Mike patrick, took them from a 3.1 to 3.7? How did Mid days, 9a-2p, do with Lee Bortell?
