Hey Kramer!
I might be out of the loop on this, but are you still on "DC and the Family"? It's on in my market but I don't have a chance to listen. If you're no longer there, can you tell us what happened? Hope you and Twitch and reunite in the Big D!

Yes we were the one's that stopped Metallica. We knew that would hack off the audience.

When we first started the Eagle, everynight we would get POUNDED on the phones..."GO EFF YOURSELVES!" - "YOU EFFING SUCK!" - "I HOPE YOU DIE!"

We'd get on the elevator both with our heads hung down thinking we were just terrible.

One night I got pissed at some guy on the phone and just exploded. I really just cussed him out. I beeped all the cuss words out and aired it. After that, we had listeners that would have literally killed for us. Everywhere we went in Dallas people knew us and every gig we ever did, people made us feel like absolute rock stars. It was the most incredible time of my career.

The PORTA POTTY prank seems to be one of the most memorable ones we ever did for some reason. I know I have a tape of it somewhere. I - like most of you - have a HUGE box of tapes with old shows on them.

I have never heard Pugs and Kelly, so I can't comment on those guys. I have heard that most people that know them like them. I don't hear much trashing of them, and in this business that's rare.

We BEGGED and BEGGED for the Eagle to give us mornings back before they hired Mikey and we were continually denied the post. I must admit, I am STILL bitter about that. (Well that and every other day of my life, ha.)

I miss Dallas very much!!
 
Keith, we all know the KEGL you worked at wasnt interested in quality product like you guys. They were the same who hired Rich Berra and thought he'd match up with RMS, look what happened there ;) I think they've learned their lesson when they decided to appeal to the tejano crowd by changing the format.
 
Its CC, they wouldnt know good radio if it popped out their backend and waved hello...

DAMN that Britney!! If she would have really died in that car crash, SO many lives would be better off. Especially listeners in the D/FW area!! Actually, EVERYONE would have been better off... except K-Fed.

If you're just looking to get back into radio, why not start an Internet station? Seriously, this is a bad time to be employed in the business, and I've even been thinking of getting out myself.
