KRBE speculation.

Here. I copied it from their website. It's a contest where you listen, hear your name and call within 13 minutes to win tickets. THAT'S the big announcement. Starts today. 7AM. No sale, no format change.

It's more likely than not just temporary until the ERAS tour leaves H-Town just like when the tour launched here in AZ & for the weekend it took place, Glendale was renamed "Swift City". As for anything significant on the radio front, NOTHING TO SEE HERE!!!
 
I examined the KRBE website at 4:45AM (4/18) and there is no indication of a format switch. At least the speculation beats discussions about flea powered translators. POWER! (very little power) La Grande! (not grand at all)

Well David, to set the record straight, I was told that by the vice president of engineering for Cumulus who is my ex-boss when I was at KRBE.. So if he's wrong, we're all in trouble 😆
 
Tuned in earlier and they are literally playing nothing other than Taylor Swift today. Sucks for those who work in businesses that keep the radio locked on 104.

Yeah we changed it this morning after the morning show. Assistant manager switched it to MAGIC 102.1.
 
BTW KRBE isn't the only station in Houston that's promoting the TS concert. Country Aircheck reports there was contesting this morning on KKBQ:

Cox KKBQ/Houston Q Morning Show hosts Andy "Riggs" Riggle, Erica Rico and Katelyn Maida hosted the 93Q Taylor Swiffer Open to give away two tickets to this weekend's Taylor Swift show at NRG Stadium. Thirteen listeners qualified and competed by using a Swiffer to clean off a square space covered in dirt and grime. One square held the two tickets, while others included Swift swag and additional prizes.
