The signal comes in like a local in Victoria. I haven't tried it in Cuero.

That's a bit overstated. Very listenable signal in Victoria, but not a local. It has to afford protection to KBAR-Victoria, so KRIK is more like a good Victoria rimshot.

I've never had any problems listening in my car. There is little to no static on Navarro or where US 59 meets the city limits.

Now that's true, Surge. In the car the signal is good, but try it on a home receiver and it's nowhere near as strong.

I agree in being in a car, it maybe like a local. But even then different weather conditions you may have trouble picking them up. If people in Victoria complained about KSBJ on 96.9 they had trouble picking them up, then I would think KRIK would not make any major impact if most of their listeners are on home receivers. With The bar being on 100.9 and close to downtown that's another issue.

I can agree with that, Devil. The only radio listening I do is in the car.

Speaking of that, what do you believe the percentage is of "home" listening vs "in the car" listening? A few years ago I heard it was like 80 pct home listening vs 20 pct car, which seems extreme to me because I know several people whose radio listening consists only in the car. I'm not arguing with the statistic, but it doesn't seem right to me.

As a general rule, in car listening is 30-35% of radio listening. The rest happens at home, at work or in another location, like a store or a friend's house.
