When I select 1080 on my HD Radio, the analog signal comes in first, then, after a few seconds, the HD signal is broadcast.
I do not like the quality of the sound of the KRLD HD signal as compared to the analog signal. The HD signal sounds tinty. I do not get that tinty sound from other HD channels....
I would prefer that KRLD not broadcast in HD, or, figure out how to engineer a great sounding HD signal.
KRLD's HD signal is unlistenable to me.
My home HD radio receiver does not allow me to disable the HD signal, (as I can using the car's HD receiver).
(Since the playlist of Rock music in Dallas is so very much on the shallow end of the pool, the only reason I use HD is for WRR and for HD-2 FM channels, to get AM broadcasts of 570 and 1310, so I can scan channels without switching bands...).
