I've heard KRLD refer to their HD1 on their legal ID. So is there a KRLD HD2 yet? And if so, what are they doing with it?
Yes it is. In the new rules for the HD radio service, which went into effect last Friday, the legal ID rule (section 73.1201) was amended to state that HD radio streams must be ID'ed so that the listener knows he or she is listening to a digital broadcast. Each HD channel must now carry a legal ID once per hour, just like the analog channels, and you'll probably hear the analog and HD1 channels ID'ing simultaneously in most cases.

and why in the heck call it KRLD HD1 if that's all you get?! That's like saying, "Welcome to the first annual..."
But hey, I graduated with a minor in philosophy. I can deduce logic. Back to your regularly scheduled programming.
