KRNB-FM- Where was it?

Quiz time! What town and what frequency here in Washington State had the call letters KRNB-FM assigned to them?

I'm not writing a book, I just thought I'd try and stump other board members...

Whatever happened to them? Somehow, that one got lost.....

Krnb

KRNB, 90.1 FM, broadcasting from the Makah Indian Nation in Neah Bay, Washington, The Native American Voice of the Pacific Northwest. I got my start in broadcasting there doing news because my late friend Bill Roche preferred not to. Over time a number of us earned our 3rd Class Broadcast licenses, recorded stories told by tribal elders, recorded basketball games and interviews with videotape machines and broadcast a wide range of music from easy listening to 70s pop to hard album oriented rock along with hourly newscasts, Buy-Trade-And-Sell (I just remembered it was pronounced something like Buh-Kwuk-an-uh_Oya). We also did Strait of Juan de Fuca forecasts along with occasional Seahawks games where we'd have to quick-cut out of any ads (including "This Seahawks game brought to you by...) to cover them with PSAs or Station IDs. It was a great place to learn and grow up for the short time I was there.

When did KRNB cease operation in Neah Bay? The calls are now at "Smooth R&B 105.7" in Dallas. Neah Bay FM reception is very spotty...maybe some Victoria, but that's it.

I always thought KRNB was some commercial FM station.
