Krnb
KRNB, 90.1 FM, broadcasting from the Makah Indian Nation in Neah Bay, Washington, The Native American Voice of the Pacific Northwest. I got my start in broadcasting there doing news because my late friend Bill Roche preferred not to. Over time a number of us earned our 3rd Class Broadcast licenses, recorded stories told by tribal elders, recorded basketball games and interviews with videotape machines and broadcast a wide range of music from easy listening to 70s pop to hard album oriented rock along with hourly newscasts, Buy-Trade-And-Sell (I just remembered it was pronounced something like Buh-Kwuk-an-uh_Oya). We also did Strait of Juan de Fuca forecasts along with occasional Seahawks games where we'd have to quick-cut out of any ads (including "This Seahawks game brought to you by...) to cover them with PSAs or Station IDs. It was a great place to learn and grow up for the short time I was there.
