I am sure he does and equally sure he would say that without that job, none of the others would be possible (in fact I think he has said as much on the air). He was not only the sports director of the station, he did live play-by-play of UCSB sports. All very good training for where he ended up.

College radio prepares one for a career. It's not part of a career. The career starts when someone hires you.

I don't remember seeing him in the hallways before he became an employee. But I could have not been paying attention, too.
And if Jim wants to count KCSB, I will honor his wishes. Least I can do for my former traffic guy.
