KSCO and KOMY Maintenance, New Personalities

Perhaps Bonneville could be a little more realistic on their price, we already have 610 for Religon, We seem to have every kind of Format here in the SF bay Area except the one that many Baby Boomers can identify with! With so many people listening to KYA on the internet, right here, Im sure there would be alot of people leaving KOIT and going to KYA1260, if it existed! With everyone so excited about Movin, and the Wolf, am i the only one out here for a Blast from the Past? bonneville execs Lower your Price! Lets get KYA back on the Air, after a 24 year abcense, its time! Im sure KYA would take away a few of KOITs listeners, and the TV spots to promote KYA would make alot more sense than Movin99.7s! Thanks for your input Verne, youve got all the rights and jingles to KYA, we just need to get it on the dial! Kenny in Concord

I stumbled onto this when I hit the 'listen live' button for KOMY. At first, I wondered what I was listening to. But I stayed... and I must say, I'm impressed. If it takes a radio geek to do this on a server, so be it: THIS IS OLDIES RADIO.

Don,

That may be the nicest compliment I've ever received. The music mix is actually based on KFRC's music surveys from the 1960s and 1970s, and the great Jay Arnold has been kind enough to fill in a lot of the obscure but wonderful songs that were missing from my collection.

As noted, "The Big 610" raw audio feed is at mms://sc3.spacialnet.com:9784 if you'd like to check it out.

Hey DJ:

You're more than welcome! Great job! Question for you: I listen to your stream on my iMac, through iTunes. When I try to do so on a PC, when I type the URL for the raw feed, Win Media Player opens, and I then get the error msg: "The server received invalid data from the client on the control connection" Any clue as to what I'm doing wrong?

Problem solved! I downloaded WinAmp to the PC, and it plays fine.

Errrrrrrr... Why, that was exactly the solution I was going to suggest!

The last of the KFRC airchecks are being remastered, and the intros are being recorded. At some point, between changing diapers and fixing formula (for the new baby) (not for me) (and thanks for thinking that) I may actually have everything rolling this week.

But don't hold your breath...
