KTWV is sounding great right now

My point exactly, which is why I used that specific song as an example. Can't begin to imagine the outrage from The Wave's core listeners.

KRTH 101 have played "Nuthin' But A G Thang" and "Gin & Juice" surprisingly.

I'm trying to figure out why I, whiter than a hotel towel and six months from my 70th birthday, don't have any trouble understanding why The Wave and KRTH are increasingly leaning in the direction the culture started leaning 35 years ago and yet some folks do.

The Wave's six month trend:

3.7-4.1-3.9-4.0-4.5-4.5

They're tied for fourth. They're 0.4 away from being tied for third.

KRTH is #1 with a 7.4.

This is called doing it right.

They're telling everyone else

No. Jhani retired 12 years ago.
Frankie Ross, who was on KJLH back in the days, is the MD and I think he’s the PD since Ralph Stewart stepped down in the summer. Frankie Ross tried to make KJLH a mainstream urban in the early to mid 90’s to mess with 92.3 The Beat but ended up failing and turning into an Urban AC station around mid 1995.
