When is the plug going to get pulled on this station? Ratings are decling, have been forever. I admit, I listen to it occasionly, but it's just sad. Do the station's owners care about ratings?

How would a Latin Alternative station do? You know, like Sala De Espera on indie1031.com?radiojomo said:The addition of AMP Radio didn't help very much either. Again, it would be hard to see SBS own an English language radio station unless if they sold the frequency.AM FM listener said:There are few, if any, format "holes" in the LA market. If KXOL were to change, it would either have to challenge someone head-on, as AMP did to KIIS, or retry a niche format that did not work before. On the latter point, I would like to see KXOL give Rhythmic AC a try again in LA. Not the oldies-based way Emmis tried with KMVN but a more current based one like WKTU/NY.

so where is this signal strong anyways???
Not so hard...I mean Entravision did own a certain English station for a few years...so it wouldn't be completely out of the question...radiojomo said:Again, it would be hard to see SBS own an English language radio station unless if they sold the frequency.AM FM listener said:There are few, if any, format "holes" in the LA market. You're right, I am not a radio dork...I'm not going to argue again about things I said in previous posts, that is my opinion...BC_714 said:musicfan101 said:Not so hard...I mean Entravision did own a certain English station for a few years...so it wouldn't be completely out of the question...radiojomo said:Again, it would be hard to see SBS own an English language radio station unless if they sold the frequency.AM FM listener said:There are few, if any, format "holes" in the LA market. Musicfan you really don't know much about the radio business do you? First you think FM Talk will comeback and now you suggest a Latin alternative station? LOL Some people are funny! Superestrella leaned alternative a few years back. They use to play lots of rock en español and how did that turn out?
