Even back in the day I knew people that had KNAC bumperstickers and t-shirts and showed them off proudly - but didn't listen to the station. I don't know what those types of people are called on the schoolyard these days, but back then, we called them poseurs.
I didn't listen to KNAC much back in the day because by limiting themselves to all metal, they had to play numerous bands weren't very good and were never heard from again alongside Priest, Maiden, G&R, etc. That and all metal, all the time gave me a headache. I like my metal to be sure, but you gotta mix it up. All metal is just as limiting a format as all polka.
