The format on KAMA 104.9 was simulcast on KQBU 93.3 prior to the latter’s flip to TUDN. Google search is likely confused.Searched up "Latino Mix Houston" online and got this as one of the results:

Second time around for Fernando programming that frequency. He was Radio One's PD during their Spanish language period, but was hampered by a real culture clash in the building. He's one of my favorite people in radio.Got confirmation that as of last week the new PD for all LMN stations is Fernando Perez. I think David would agree that Fernando is very capable to handle these stations and has a solid background. I worked with Fernando for many years and can say he is all about data and research so it will be interesting to see how this plays out in Markets where LMN has a FM signal.
i think you are confused David we are talking about LMN not RADIO ONE OR SBS. He has not programmed that frequency since we are not talking about 92.1 HoustonSecond time around for Fernando programming that frequency. I don't really see a huge reason to change. KFZO probably would've announced it around the same time as KRGT if they were planning to flip to Latino Beats. I still personally think they're gonna simulcast KFLC when the LMN network debuts.Wonder if LMN might have something like this in mind for KFZO: New Beats Coming For Latino Mix Las Vegas - RadioInsight
Yes, the 99.1 signal is a rimshot, and its south Dallas County coverage was damaged when the KBEC translator went on the air. But might be worth keeping an ear on this.
Fernando is apparently just a "Programming Consultant" right now. At least according to his LinkedIn.Got confirmation that as of last week the new PD for all LMN stations is Fernando Perez. While researching if other LMN stations were promoting anything yesterday, I did at least notice that KFZO is the only LMN station that Univision has already wiped its existence from its web platform.I don't really see a huge reason to change. As of today, Radio Mambí, WRTO, KFLC and KBTQ have been wiped clean from Univision's website. While researching if other LMN stations were promoting anything yesterday, I did at least notice that KFZO is the only LMN station that Univision has already wiped its existence from its web platform.
Yet Fernando will be SBS's PD in Houston in a few months, which would seem to preclude the LMN deal.Fernando is apparently just a "Programming Consultant" right now. At least according to his LinkedIn.
It appears nothing is going to happen with SBS and KROI in Houston until July 2024, so he might have more time for consulting before then.😃Yet Fernando will be SBS's PD in Houston in a few months, which would seem to preclude the LMN deal.
The top leaders have no experience in radio so some decisions or thought processes may not make sense.
Follow up: It was clarified on the Nevada board that the holding company would greatly simplify any spinoff of the three stations, should market cap issues come into play once Audacy exits Chapter 11 (yes the Soros investment in both LMN and the restructured Audacy.)Trying to figure out the purpose of this, as the holding company doesn’t seem to eliminate any cap issues, unless a further sale is a possibility. The attachments to the application also state that the three stations might be taken silent.
Maybe someone like BBN? Or maybe KHCB would like to expand northward (unlikely)?Follow up: It was clarified on the Nevada board that the holding company would greatly simplify any spinoff of the three stations, should market cap issues come into play once Audacy exits Chapter 11 (yes the Soros investment in both LMN and the restructured Audacy.)
Wonder who KFZO would go to? Really not suitable for EMF and K-Love.
BTW KFLC is not affected by this.
FINALLY! CHANGES! OH MY GOD! I can't wait for the day they introduce their own websites for their stations and don't have to depend completely on Uforia, iHeart and others to be their carriers. So rumor is .. That LMN is about ready to make some adjustments and changes.
soon they will announce news formats on the AM and will start to incorporate ''el genio lucas'' in some of the markets where they have FM'S they company that will provide the news is the company that handles the distribution for said morning show.
