KZFO KFLC Now Run By LMN

Of the Wise County rimshots, the 99.1 signal is the weakest...it fades in and out driving around most of Dallas County and much of Collin County.
I’ve had better luck with the 99.1 signal in the car than you have, at least in Collin County. However the co-channel KBEC translator has damaged reception in south Dallas County. Sounds fine in Denton and Tarrant County.

Will admit the last time I closely paid attention to 99.1 was during its original KJZY incarnation.😆
The vast majority of people listening over the air do it inside the city/primary signal contours, not in the fringe areas. 99.1 is one of the worst signals in the market to do a Spanish-language format on. It's like the reverse of 93.3, which would be a great signal for a Spanish-language format on...
I had suggested elsewhere that any future owner of KFZO should forget about the DFW urban core, and concentrate on a suburban/exurban audience…this is what KFWR is doing. But some sort of religious format is probably in the future for 99.1.
I say reincarnate Z-Rock, it's last English-language format...even if it got 50% of the ratings KDZR did back in the day, it would have 2-3x the ratings KFZO has today...
The KDZR call would be available if a deal was done with the 1640 AM in the Portland, Oregon market.😁

1270 had music on earlier today and it wasn’t Spanish language Christmas music. But it sounds like they’re back to TUDN as I’m typing this.
