First of all, I'm NOT a New York Stater (by birth, or breeding, and never by residence), though I've driven the length of Cayuga and Seneca Lakes (the only FL's I've seen)

second, I only referred to the non-Georgia Atlantas *I'd heard about*. I'd never heard of Atlanta, NY.
I don't have time to whip out my Rand-McNally to find Atlanta, NY. I have a just a few minutes to finish getting dressed for work.
