Lame 101.5 Stunt

To me the idea of unbiased news/talk sounds boring and impossible. Politics aside, anyone who listens to news/talk is listening to either a.) get fired up about an opposing viewpoint or b.) cribbing bullet points for a later arguement.

There were about 400 people there. They basically took empty wallets out of the coffin and put them in cardboard boxes, then took the boxes inside the State House. Not as interesting as the flying pigs last year, but still fun.

I wonder how many of those 400 people (although the station announced "1000") were just people who work in the area, were on their lunch break, and wanted to see what the commotion was. I'm sure Bob Ingle will overstate the turnout and overrall success of this gimmick in his Sunday column. Gotta keep in the good graces of 101.5 so he can keep peddling his books on their airwaves.

Have people donate empty wallets (a not-so-clever metaphor for being "broke") and then the wallets will all be delivered to Corzine in a Hearse to send the message that "WE WON'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!". What a bunch of meaningless posturing.

I've never quoted MYSELF on a message board but I couldn't resist this time. I guess I was right on with my assessment about just how corny this whole stunt would turn out. At the end of yesterday's event, the "protesters" all sang along with Twisted Sister's "WE'RE NOT GONNA TAKE IT ANYMORE". ::)

Nice job Mary.

Trust me, I'm legit. Not sure how I would go about proving it exactly, but I'm not Mary. In fact, I personally presented her with evidence that she was posting under fictitious names a few years ago and it didn't go over too well.

If they wanted more people, they should have done it on a weekend. Most of the people affected would be working at that time.

Well...VERY accurate in that "JoeFromTomsRiver" is NOT Mary but rather Tripp Rogers... hmmm!

No, actually my name is Joe, I live in Toms River, and I don't work in radio....imagine that. You're wasting your time trying to undercover some ulterior motive or "secret identity" when it comes to me posting here.
