"The Heart of Rock and Roll" is still beatin' ------ in all the towns listed in the song.
You know - that list of songs that does not include ATL - because the heart of rock and roll in Atlanta has quit beatin'...
....and what's the name of the group that sings the song where the heart of rock and roll has come to an end?
(This is gettin' downright scary)
Unless your DJ had the "Atlanta/Miami" promo version.trusty said:Look no further.....

I wish I had a copy of that version. Z93 played it back in the day...

A Day in the Life by the Beatles and let that last note linger as long as possible.
Other choices
Going down in a "Blaze of Glory" - Bon Jovi
Take this Job and Shove It - Johnny Paycheck In honor of Y106
Old Time rock and Roll - Bob Seger
Glory Days - Springsteen
Changes - David Bowie
Spirit in the Sky - Norman Greenbaum
The End - The Doors - Ok no shot of that but it would be funny.

It looks like I am the winner of call the last song contest. A Day in a Life it was.

Very good guess, RTibbs. I believe that WYAY read your mind. Although too late, if I had a last song to be played on WYAY, it would be "American Pie" by Don McClain because of the verse "The day the music died." Not sure if we'll hear music again on 106.7, but I'll put my Internet radio on full blast and leave my terrestrial local radio on the back burner.
