LATEST ANTENNA TV NEWS

Their website links are now directing you to the WGN America website. Maybe they are putting
together a better site, as the old one looked like something they just threw together anyway.

Antenna TV's site has always been based at the WGN America site...the antennatv.tv domain was mirrored there.

I guess XFINITY will not be carrying Antenna TV is my area. There's no room for it. All the subchannels are on 291-298. And 297 and 298 are both brand news services. Channel 297 is a new PBS Service called CPTV 4U. And Channel 298 is The Cool TV. Then for some reason they put Hallmark's HD signal on 299.

We have a simliar problem in NJ. The Verizon system in my area still doesn't carry WPIX 11.3 (This TV, soon to be Antenna TV) which has been on the air over 6 months already. I'm sure this also means they won't be carrying 11.4 either. They have the channel allotments available but apparently they have run out of bandwidth from what I've read.

I brought out my Insignia converter box from 2008, hooked up the antenna and did a rescan, here in New Britain, CT. Sure enough, the "Antenna TV - Coming soon" screen appeared on WTIC-DT 61-2 of Hartford. However, while scanning the QAM tuner on my 26" Sanyo LCD HDTV from 2006, it didn't show up at all (makes sense, since it's not on the air yet).

If you count other recent subchannel services, TheCool TV appeared on WCTX-DT 59-2 from New Haven (QAM tuner as 47-2). This TV is on WTXX-DT 20-2 from Waterbury (QAM tuner as 46-4).

The Sanyo 26" LCD TV in the other room is a more recent model and correctly shows TheCool TV as 59-2 and This TV as 20-2. It should be noted that I don't use a cable converter with either TV.

I wonder if it's just the Tribune O&Os putting up the tease channels.

Which means the Local TV stations, basically run by Tribune, should have it soon.

It's definitely not up yet on WJW, no 8.2 to be found on my Insignia box, even after a rescan.

I'm only using a DTV box, & it's not picking up WGN-TV 9.2, because the channel isn't mapped. I use the Magnavox DTV box model# TB100MW9, & it only picks up channels that are mapped. Since WGN-TV removed the PSIP info for 9.2, my box won't acknowledge that the channel exists. My Aunt Dawn's Access HD brand box picks it up, but the channel is mapped to 9-4 (her box uses a "-" while my box uses a "."). The actual channel is 19.4 (or 19-4 if your box or TV displays it that way). So WGN-TV is giving the teaser screen, but only to those who can pickup the unmapped chanel. I hope they get it mapped to 9.2 before 11pm CST, when I hear they're gonna go on the air with 27 hours of The Three Stooges.

As for my Magnavox DTV box, I don't have to rescan asthis box doesn't count subchannels separately, like TV's do (& some DTV boxes). Weigel Broadcasting is doing their own teaser with both WWME-LD & WCIU. WWME-LD 23.3 - 23.8 (23.2 is mapped to WWME-LD) & WCIU 26.5 display a message with the new channel lineup for WCIU 26.1 - 26.5 (they're just changing 26.6 to 26.5, as there was no 26.5 before now (other than the time they did another teaser with the "What's Up With That? message last year). My DTV box automatically detected these subchannels, & the extra subchannels will be deleted once Weigel Broadcasting decides to delete them. Whenever WGN-TV decides to map 19.4 back to 9.2, then my box will detect the channel.

Doesn't WPIX have to move something on 11.2 first?

Currently 11.2 has Estrella TV and 11.3 has This TV. Since Antenna TV was announced for 11.3, that means they either move This TV to 11.2 and replace Estrella, or create a new 11.4 and move This TV to there.

Do you think that will make WPIX pretty full of subs............maxed out?
Anybody else seeing the ANTENNA TV is coming soon yet?

Who knows, WCIU in Chicago will have 26.1, 26.2, 26.3, 26.4, and 26.5!

KRCW will be moving Universal Sports to 32-3 and putting Antenna TV on 32-2. I have no way of noting that without confusing everyone who looks at it, so it's listed as 32-3 for the time being.

32-03's already on the air. I'm watching it right now. At this point in time it's an SD 480-I mirror of 32-01 (KRCW's main programme channel, in high-definition widescreen) with the closed-captioned turned on. Why they are showing the captioning on there is anyone's guess, but the built-in decoder in my TV set isn't displaying anything.
