Low cume, high TSL. The core audience has pretty much rejected every other musical choice on the FM band, and WFMT is their refuge. They see it as an oasis in a radio desert. So the biggest upward move is a half-share by classical WFMT. Can anything meaningful possibly be drawn from that? Or could just a month of unusually heavy listening by a couple of older, white, male panel members create that sort of bump?
The Fox game on Saturday gave me goosebumps. I can only imagine what it must have been like to have been there.Anyone who watched the Cubs series at Wrigley this weekend can see there's no pandemic there.
How 'bout dem cubbies?
Why not bring back Smooth Jazz or Classic Country
Classic country with an '80-'90s (and maybe even early '00s) focus might work, I would think, in markets that have been strong for country radio for years. Has Chicago ever been a strong country market?Because the audience is too old.

Here is a batch or WLS publications from the past, including the souvenir card I got signed by a number of the DJs in 1960 and a QSL card with the same pictures.Back 95 years ago, they had their own barn dance and hayride.
DC is dramatic as ever if G7 was any indication, the news media just doesn't want to cover it because of the flip in control. But that's another topic for another thread, perhaps another forum entirely...Big drops at the news stations, signaling the lack of drama in DC.
WCHI 95.5 is a radio embarrassment. When WNUA was broadcasting they had decent ratings. I Heart needs to flip this radio disaster. Why not bring back Smooth Jazz or Classic Country
Does the classic hits variety like WCBS, KLUV, KRTH, KOSF, KXSN, or even WRIT etc not work in Chicago?
