Thanks Radeeyohead, I honestly wasn't sure if it was a stunt or not. I mean you just don't hear people lose it on the air for real-for all I knew it was an example of "media verite". As for me being sick- You don't know me man so slow your roll. I was merely pointing out that when it rains it pours, and the wheels are coming off New South Radio as far as I can tell. Their country station in Meridian is kicking Clear Channels teeth in, but the catch is someone on that team along with a couple of other people are rumored to be suing the old man for something serious (You figure it out- you'll probably get it right by three guesses.) and he's not even maintaining an office in the building because of the issue. To top it off the plantiffs are still going in to work while the defendant is laying low. That's got to be a fun and creative work environment! Combine that with the fact that his Jackson country station finally has a real shot at CC's Miss 103 BUT they just got canned or quit while having a live domestic dispute/divorce ON THE AIR and that's the "Train wreck" I'm talking about. It's news son, at least for those in the business. I'm sorry your friends can't keep it together on the air- that's not me being sick, that's them "relating" to the audience. Hell one could argue that it's great radio and if they tried to work it out on the air the irony is that it would probably be compelling radio. As for the "vultures" on this board I can't help but note that you drilled right down to the post yourself so welcome to the club.
My prediction: The company will fight it to the end, then given their track record in court they'll lose. Some people never learn.
