following in Carson's foot steps...right?
Yeziknoradio said:Leno already has those bragging rights, as Letterman is far beyond "the top" and is swiftly descending. Just look at their monologues and see the difference. Leno is high energy and plays off the crowd; Letterman tells one joke after another in disjointed style, with the audience laughing I think only because they're supposed to. He's just not funny anymore.
Just my opinion.
notalkallstatic said::-[ Great *sarcastic* ...4 more years of hearing Paul Shaffer repeating everything that Dave said...trying to take the spotlight away from whoever is on, and putting himself in the spotlight...and that very annoying fake laugh of his. That's one reason why I have stopped watching David Letterman, because of Paul Shaffer.
Leno and Kevin...good team together
Conan and Max...great time (they are different from night and day, but it works well)
David and Paul...horrible, get rid of Paul and it would be better.
Just my opinion....
Hey, Letterman hasn't been funny since he hosted the 1995 Oscars. The rest would be history when Leno had Hugh Grant on his show just moments after he got caught with a hooker.dhett said:Letterman tells one joke after another in disjointed style, with the audience laughing I think only because they're supposed to. You don't bring in somebody from outside because a show is doing so well.
You bring somebody in to fix things.
Fred de Cordova is a hack.
