No "spacing" issues, next closest 104.1 is in Orlando, right?

You would think someone has a monster stick in the Everglades or out in the middle of nowhere that blankets a good part of the state.

Rock signals would be Jacksonville's WXXJ (too far, but a weak signal into G'Ville) and Tampa's WSUN 97.1 (weak signal, even within market, to protect Ft. Myers WINK 96.9 to the south).
Another big FL signal is Sarasota's WHPT 102.5, which reaches the Tampa/St.Pete market to the north and skirts the Ft. Myers market to the south. (100,000 Watt, Class C 503 meters).

WHPT, yes, another great stick. can reach all the way to Jax before the 102.5 in Brunswick, Georgia kicks in.

Thanks. What's the height on WRUF-FM's tower as well as WYKS in Gainesville? Didn't know there was another 104.3. 104.3 in West Palm has a big stick as does WKGR (Gater 98.7). I remember growing up in Gainesville when the FM dial wasn't cluttered, I use to pick up 99 WIZD (now Gater 98.7) at my house. Way before 98.5 KTK came on. DX'ing back in the day was fun.

and back on the subject of L&T, everything you've heard and read is just speculation right now. Contract negotiations are on-going and they will not be on tomorrow.

If 92.9 was never a downgrade, how come I use to pick it up all the time years ago in Jax and Lake City? Now it's very hard to hear unless I'm in Gainesville or Palatka.

So here's my question: If WYKS at 3KW and had the 768 HAAT, wouldn't that get that signal into Ocala finally? They can't raise their stick another couple of hundred feet?
On other note, when or if are the Givers coming back on in Jax?

Are you referring to 92.9 Ocala or 92.9 Valdosta? If you are referring to WMFQ, when was it downgraded? WMFQ is actually an upgrade from a 3kw Class "A" on 92.7 to a 50kw Class "C2" on 92.9. Co-channel WAAC Valdosta, on the other hand, is a downgrade, going from a full "C" license to a Class "C1" although no technical changes took place at WAAC. Its 100kw power and its 449 foot tower remained unchanged. WAAC's downgrade was nothing more than a "paper" reclassification making it possible for WMFQ to upgade to a "C2".
Vadar, I don't know if/when L&T will be back on in JAX. They were live in Gainesville this week while they finished building out their new studio in Dallas but I didn't hear any mention of Jacksonville.
As for WYKS, No-- they can't increase height or power due to short spacing with WJS/Fernandina Beach, WSJF/St. Augustine Beach and WDUV/New Port Richey.
BUT, if short spacing were not an issue and they could run 3KW at 768 feet, Ocala would be easier but still not a sure thing for the entire county. KMagrill could say for sure (or maybe even make one of his super cool maps)
