Lies and a Loosing Operation

About 3 weeks ago, I called in to cancel two of my radios, one had self destructed, and the other was in a cost reduction effort. The CSR offered me a reduction in price for 3 or 6 months to keep those two radios. I declined. Then I was offered a replacement reciever for the one that self destructed and I would only have to pay for the shipping. I declined again. then I was offered free shipping. I finally decided, what the heck and took the offer.

I have checked my account and they have given me credit and the reduced price, but no replacemtn radio has arrived.

I am going to call about that, but it seems that the left hand has no ides what the right hand is doing.

If they are going to give these reductions out like spring water, why not just give them across the board and get it over with instead of maiking customers mad?

My guess is that they are trying to keep as many people subscribed as possible hoping for another buyout. That's why they keep offering deals when people threaten to cancel.

I was offered a deal a while ago which I took for another year and free home use for that period. I took it. I haven't gotten any fee increase e-mail as a result.
XM is not as good as it was but it still certainly beats FM radio with it's SOS all the time.

It is now Sept 11..........Still waiting for my credit to appear

Chances are, you're going to have to call them again and really be hard about not receiving the credit, insisting it get refunded and not hanging up until you're satisfied with the resolution (I went through this same s--t when I cancelled one of my [at the time] extra active radios a couple of years ago and didn't get a refund for 3 months. The credit was there, it just was not being transferred back to my card).

I just disputed the charge on my card, had the credit card company deduct the amount I should have been charged from the total, and we will see how long it takes these characters to respond. I'm not out anything, but it's just amazing how pathetic this operation has become. I'm just going to wait and see and let everyone one this thread know...Thanks for the input though.

Please keep us informed. I hate doing business with companies like that.

This my last entry on this stale subject. Credit card company said it is a dead issue, XM can't get their money. I should have disputed the entire amount instead of the difference. I'll know to watch my account daily when it is time for renewal. What a terrible outfit. :-[ :-[
