BDH has the syndication deal so he'll be fine. They've been pre-empting Leykis anyway lately for sports shows. Looks as if this has been coming for a while.

I'm with you, I'm a huge sports fan but I can get that somewhere else, no more 1053 for me.
 
The best thing to come out of this is that a lot of whiners lost their reason to come to this forum and complain.

I wouldn't hold my breath on that one, if I were you. They'll find something else to whine about.
 
You'd think JBB, but unfortunately I will bet 10 dollars that we will either get the same whiners, or new whiners about how the station still sucks.

It's going to happen no one is going to make everyone happy, kind of obvious with the way this board loves to rip people up one side and down the other.

I'm more surprised that Ben and Skin go from weekends at The Ticket to afternoon drive. That's a lot of pressure on them with a format change.

Personally, I'm not a big enough sports fan to want to listen all day. I'm going to see what Jagger does this week and if it's not my thing, I'll switch off.
 
This sucks! I have listened to russ for 11 years. Since is was in high school. Someone has to pick the show up. I always hated Gavin. He's probably behind this. Hope they have fun bombing with ren & stimpy or whoever those part time hacks are. Calling all Dallas radio stations...... Pick up RMS your ratings will instantly improve. He has throngs of loyal listeners. Now I have nothing to listen to.

Back to listening to XM 100% of the time. No reason to listen to the same stuff (plus commercials) across the FM spectrum.
 
To be honest: Id rather would've had a true alt rocker (like 101x) or AAA (like KGSR), but, as a format, sports draws and anything new is alright with me. Plus, the stick power that they have will be an interesting setup for the cowboys when it comes to frequency dicussion time.
 
According to Phillpot's post on DFW.com, BDH is gone as well, but I thought he was getting syndicated. Does that mean that Mike Fisher could be making a comeback?
 
I think it's funny how Gavin wants to compete with 103.3. Good lord, 105.3 and 103.3 are so close to eachother that this is going to be hilarious.


Sorry Gavin, you're going to be out of a job very soon.
