Why is it that many years ago, the FCC ruled that a FM station may not merely simulcast its AM affiliate, but now James Crystal does just that on two nearby AM stations: 1000 and 1420.
Clear Channel is simulcasting WFLA in Tampa on at least a few stations.
In either case, it's a waste of bandwidth.
Remember when Paxson took the first step towards the destruction of heritage station WFTL, by making a "Supertalk" local network of WINZ, WFTL, and WJNO? What a waste of bandwidth: Rick & Suds on three stations in the same market!
