No disrespect to anyone on this board but the word in the business is Hamilton is very sleazy.

BSBOY:

Just a few words of advice from the old Brooklyn Buckaroo…

I don’t know the man that you are referring to …But I know the archetype that you are describing very well. Well Sir, the best way to counterbalance something that sucks is to not suck. Being decent, and ethical, open-minded, hard working, innovative and creative; Is ultimately the best way to do any business …because it is good business. This old silverback has been kicked to the curb many times because I have held on to those ideals… That being said -(In my younger days I must admit that I might have drawn a few too many lines in the sand.)

Hey... remember the Seinfeld episode when George started doing the exact opposite of his usual MO. He wound up with a hot girlfriend and a great job with the New York Yankees… Believe me, that can work in the radio business. I am lucky enough (despite all well meaning admonishments) to be able to prove that point in my current position. I am hitching my wagon to that developing that niche.

Be the better guy… lead by example. Do it the right way to the greatest extent possible and show the people who are at the top of the top-down management pyramid that it is good business. You’ll be a lot happier… and as a mere side effect the “less-scrupulous” will become less significant.

Taking the highroad to the land of milk and honey,

Louie

PS: buy the book “The Secret”.

Louie,
thanks for the advice but a scum bag is a scum bag.

Will, how did Paul G let him get away with this?

…So be the anti-scumbag!

Mr. G? (if this is at all true) Either he’s a weak manager or a willing accomplice. Don’t know.

So does calling me the anti.... mean you have sunk to my level?
ha ha

I am at your level… And Sir, I did not have to sink a fraction of a millimeter to get there. In other words you are at a laudable level… You are just reacting to the frustration. The worm will turn if you help push it. It's hard work and very frustrating... but well worth it.

Hamilton may run a good station but i doesnt change the fact that he is a major sleaze ball. I have to say that he is not the only shady character in the market. Corm is no angel either. I have about some less than kosher business practices on up there at the fort. Hiring and firing in a revolving door manner. And giving perfectly qualified people the shaft and trash talking them when they get a gig somewhere else. Not to mention that the stations up at CC sound awful. Clearly Corm spends more time writing in his blog then he does imaging his stations. Keep writing Corm...clearly it's paying off!!

He's both. He spends 4 hours a day in the building. He doesn't know half the shit Hamilton probably does.
