LoneStar 92.5

I don't wanna break up the lovefest here...but I wonder if CC wasn't hoping for more of a return with all the $$$$$ they spent on TV, marketing, and such. Not to mention all the FREE press they got. What was it... 2.4 to a 2.5 in the book between the old ZPS and the new Lonestar???

Did they really spend much...I saw one ad on TV after they came on; have never seen a billboard for it (there used to be a lot of old KZPS billboards around town). I don't recall there being a ton of free press locally...a blurb in the newspaper (which usually there is a story when one of the larger signals changes formats anyway, so not much more than when KOAI flipped, for example) and a story on Fox 4. There were a lot of articles in other papers around the country, but because the NY Times or whatever printed a wire story about the sponsorship approach isn't going to bring you local listeners.

I really can't believe they think this is going to be generating huge numbers...it is the opposite of mainstream radio. A significant amount of the music is not well known to most people. I'm surprised they went to this format; I'm still surprised 4 months later, it hasn't been altered in favor of more mainstream country and classic rock songs. So, thumbs up to CC for that (now, if they would do something with 97.1).

For the students who need lessons on using quotes... Do away with the forward slash when you want to begin quoting text. Use the forward slash at the end only. ;D
