LOOK HOW BAD KNBR IS BEATING THE ENTERCOM SPORTS STATION!!

"So how about, 610 KNBR and 680 The Game?
It would be mass confusion for KNBR listeners!"

The listener's are way smarter than that! You folks sure do like to dream!

Really. How about - let's have no change at all - it just confuses listeners.

Everybody that constantly declares the death of AM radio is a few years premature, IMO - at least in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Otherwise, we would already have KNBR on FM in SF, and KFI-FM in LA. Both owners (Cumulus and Clear Channel respectively) own plenty of FM frequencies in their markets to put these high rated stations on. But they can't see any reason to kill a perfectly good FM format that's making money, and turn two revenue streams into one; or turn the AM frequency they paid so much for into a worthless shell, fit only to be a religious station.
