A more recent projection for HD Radio sales by the end of this year was made by iBiquity's Bob Struble on August 1st at MSN Money. It revealed some back-pedaling from last March's forecast of one million expected in sales:
"Bob Struble, the CEO of iBiquity Digital Corp., the company that makes the technology for HD Radio, estimates that tens of thousands of receivers have been sold so far. But with prices falling rapidly and HD broadcasts rolling out in more markets, Struble expects nearly half a million units to be sold by the end of the year."

That's still much more than David's "guess" of 100,000 tops this year. I tend to agree with David that his guess will be far more accurate than any forecasts from iBiquity.
