Looking For Internet Soft AC Streams

I had some Live365 streams in my iTunes library. When I upgraded to iTunes 11, the stations no longer say Continuous. They now have stop times (example: 3 hours) and the stop times are grayed out, making it so you can't change the time.

And if that's not the standard, then I say no.

I'm not even happy with Michael Buble trying to do AC. It's amazing when I hear some of those songs in places other than standards radio how really loud they are.
 
This is one I've been sampling. Lots of music I love. Some stuff I'm still on the fence about. I didn't realize until I looked at the About page on the station's Facebook that the station is a re-creation of a former terrestrial radio station. https://www.facebook.com/kliteonline/info?tab=page_info

Like other soft AC's I've been listening to, they are in the camp that includes currents to keep it fresh.
 
Speaking of iTunes, when I first got hooked on iTunes, the radio feature was just a collection of various streams from around the web. When I upgraded to iTunes 11, the radio feature was changed to be more like Pandora Radio. There are several genre-focused stations. Or you can play stations based upon artists. Since I like modern lite AC, I selected a station based upon Josh Groban, one of my faves in the modern lite AC genre. A station based upon him has brought up artists such as Enya, Michael Buble, The Canadian Tenors, and even some of today's country crossover such as Faith Hill and Carrie Underwood. Just like with Pandora, you can customize what songs play on the station. iTunes Radio is ad-supported. If you subscribe to iTunes Match, which is $25 a year, you can listen to iTunes Radio ad-free. The customization factor is what I love about such streaming services.

iTunes Radio not only matches up artists that are similar but also uses your download/purchase history, which is why the country artists came up on the station.

A part 15 station is one in which has a limited signal area and doesn't require a broadcast license. Their typical reach is a block or two from the transmitter...similar to how the FM house transmitters work.

In an unrelated note, my son asks if whether I would incorporate this song in the Lite 99 playlist. What do you think? Sounds formatically ok with me. :)

My favorite of the Pandora-like services is Pandora. They have the best knack for matching up songs sonically.
 
Also not soft: "Freeze Frame" by J. Geils Band. I heard it on "Family Guy".

And please don't say that one sounds like standards. There are horns but that's about it.
 
I like "Freeze Frame", too. Within a traditional soft AC/soft oldies format...no, IMO.
 
Now the same episode had "She Works Hard for the Money". Somehow I found out that was in Timeless Favorites. Let me make clear I despise that one.

lol. Well, I do like that song, but for an adult standards format...that's kinda stretching it.

I like the song as well but I also find it odd for a standards station to play that.

I've heard songs such as One Night In Bangkok (Murray Head), Tusk (Fleetwood Mac), With Arms Wide Open (Creed), Stronger (Kelly Clarkson), Save Me San Franciso (Train) played along side the typical stuff you'll find on a soft AC/soft oldies format.

Many of the ones I've come across in my searching so far are rather adventurous like that.
